First Anniversary

This past weekend was also very special for it Our First Anniversary. I can’t believe that it has been a year since I married the Man of my Dreams. It has been the most wonderful year and it was a great weekend. We went Zip Lining at Sky Trek, which was crazy fun and scary all at the same time! Let’s be honest Mike may have needed to calm me down a few times cause I may or may not have panicked a few times. (pictures done by Joelene)

We also stayed in the neatest hotel 3 Valley Gap which is the sweetest hotel, very quaint. It's also in the most beautiful location. I really can’t wait till we go again.

Family Fun

This past weekend was a busy but wonderful weekend. First there was the Asplund family Reunion; which is my Mom’s Mother’s side of the family. This year it was hosted my Aunt Sarah (My Nana’s Sister) and her family in Kamloops British Columbia. We drove all the way out there, I must say it was the most beautiful drive. I'm so lucky to live in the beautiful country. I love driving through the mountains and see the breath taking scenery. But one of my favorite parts is getting to see some of wildlife. We did get to see a bunch of mountain goats and an elk with the hugest pairs of antlers I have ever seen! Sadly I didn't get any pictures because we were driving at the time and Mike did not feel there were any safe spots to pull off. So you will have to take my word for it they were HUGE! Anyway, I had so much fun it’s great to catch up with family that I haven’t seen in a while.

Here are some fun moments from the reunion.

Fire and Water

Ok, its really smoke instead of fire but I thought “Fire and Water” sounded better. Anyway I went to another wonderful meetup. This time the focus was taking pictures of water drops and smoke from incenses. For the record this was waaaaay harder than I thought it would be. One of my problems (I had many throughout the night) was focusing. With the water drops, you had to be in focus before the drop got there otherwise you were too late! With the smoke I found it hard to see therefore hard to focus! And don’t even get me started on how long it took me to get the right setting for the smoke. Thank Heaven for all the wonderful people in this group they were so willing to help me before I throw my camera to the ground and called it a night. They gave me such wonderful tips and were so encouraging that I gave it a couple more tries. I did come away with a few shots that I was pleased with. I really wish I could show you the pictures from the other members of the group; they would make your jaw drop.

Anyway, here are my best pictures from the night.
