Reliving a Moment

This past Sunday Mike and I went to Banff with family and friends who were visiting from England. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. My most favorite part of the day was going to the summit of Sulphur Mountain; this is a very special place for Mike and I because it is where he proposed to me. “sigh” It was the first time we have been back there since that big day. In some ways it seems so long ago and yet I remember it like it was yesterday.

“The whole day I couldn't stop smiling. This is a dream come true, I couldn't ask for a better guy then Mike.We stayed a little longer in Banff seeing the sights but all I could think about was how this was REALLY happening,Mike really was going to be my husband. It felt like I was walking on a cloud and I couldn't be happier. I just want to be with him”
~Part of my journal entry after the big question~

This time I had fun talking to Mike about his thoughts and feelings on that day. He spoke about being nervous and how he kept feeling for the ring and how he was hoping that there won’t be anyone else at the top. It was perfect, when we got to the top no one else was there, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. And the rest as they say is History.

Doggy Reunion

Today our story begins about a week or so ago at work when a co-worker brought her dog; of course I had to stop and pet the sweet thing (who happen to look just like my puppy). I finally got around asking,
“What kind of dog?” “Yorkshire Bichon cross” “I have one too!”
“How old is your dog?” “Seven months” “Me too!”
At this point I could believe all the similarities and I had to ask
“Where did you get your dog?” “Strathmore”
“Oh my heavens! You’re kidding! Me Too!!!”
“From Michelle!?!” “Yes!”
The light bulbs went off in both our heads, our dogs were Sisters!!!! So a doggy reunion was set and I couldn’t be more excited!

Yesterday was the big day. It was a bit of a shaky start; Yorkie was still a little upset from the car ride (she hates cars rides) so when Pia first arrived Yorkie was a little over whelmed. That quickly pasted and they were soon playing chase and play fight like the best of Sisters. Usually Yorkie takes bit to warm up to other dogs but that didn’t happen with Pia which really makes me think that they did remember each other. This just warms my heart. And yes I do realize that I might just be convincing myself of this fact but it is too much fun so I will continue to believe it.

What really got me is how much they looked like each other; they even both had silver on the tops of their heads! So Cute! If Pia hadn’t had longer hair then Yorkie I think it would have been very hard to tell them apart.

I had so much fun and I can’t wait till we can meet up again. We even were starting to plan for a joint birthday party for when they turn one. I can picture it now little party hats, and doggy cake! Oh what fun!

Beast was there as well having all kinds of fun!

"It's wabbit season!"

Bunnies, Bunnies and more Bunnies! Around my home there is a huge population of these cute bunnies. They are not wild jake rabbits, and yet they are not house pets. A friend has the theory that someone who owned a bunny or more likely two bunnies let them loose. And then the bunnies did what bunnies do best! Make more bunnies! Every time I leave the house I see these rabbits, lying around in the sun, eating all the grass not having a care in the world. So I decided to shot them, shot them all! I felt like Elmer Fudd going after Bugs Bunny except instead of a shot gun I was armed with my Camera! And here are my “Trophies”.

Now this sweet little black bunny was a bit of a mystery. The story begins when I was taking pictures of the other 4 rabbits when I looked up and saw this little one, so I slowly was making my way over when a lady appeared and started walking towards the bunny as well and she got there first. I thought she would scary the little guy away but he just sat there she even pet him! I left; I didn’t really want to take pictures of this lady so I just went in the alley and took pictures of other bunnies. The crazy thing is that when I was done and going to go back inside the little black rabbit was still there so I went over and took a bunch of pictures. He let me get so close and even pet him as well! That lady wasn’t around but I did notice her watching me from her balcony but when I looked up at her she hide behind the corner. Weird! After which I left it felt a little creepy. The thing I wonder is was this little bunny was her pet? If it was why would she leave it in out in the open and not in her fenced yard? And also how did she train it to not run away? It is all a mystery to me!

My Favorite Shot of the Day

Wow, my life is a simple one when the biggest event of my day is a little black bunny!

A Wonderful Wedding

On Saturday was my dear friend's wedding and it was wonderful! One of the best weddings I have been to besides mine of course ;)  Everything was so beautiful and everyone was laughing and smiling the whole night. It was amazing! I’m just so happy for the two of them and excited for their new adventure together to start.
Will the real JoDana please stand up! I would have taken a lot more picture by this wonderful mirror but for some silly reason JoDana had to go and say hello to other people ;)
 One of the most fantastic things is that the very talented JoDana pretty much made everything at the wedding herself! She is the kind of wonderful. She made the center pieces, which were lovely;

she made some outstanding hats for herself and her bridesmaids.

I feel like these pictures do not do these gorgeous hat justice
She also made the groom’s and groom’s men boutonnières. Sadly I forgot to get a picture of those :(  And she made her own bouquet plus gorgeous felt flowers for her bridesmaid’s purse. Again I forgot to take pictures of those, what can I say, I was having way too much fun to be taking pictures!  JoDana did an amazing job and pretty much put any other wedding to shame. One of my favorite thing was the cake table, just was just beautiful and it had one of the sweetest touches I have ever seen. On the table was a picture of JoDana’s parents and Kelly’s parents both on their wedding days. I thought it was so sweet, I just loved it. I should also point out that JoDana’s mom made the cakes and they were delicious. I think we can see where all of JoDana’s talent comes from.

Besides the wonderful deco, the rest of the night was pretty fantastic as well! There the most beautiful harp solo done by one of JoDana’s cousins, it was just lovely. It made me think that if we all listen to a little more music played by a harp the world might be a little more of a peaceful place.  There were the heart moving speeches, the always funny shoes game, a toe tapping drum circle, and a photo booth which lead to all kinds of fun! To sum it all up the night was a huge success and if their wedding day is any indication of how their marriage will be, they are going to have one of the best marriages ever!!!

Here he is playing his elbows!?!?

I was very impressed when the groom used one of my favorite quotes in his speech.

marry only the individual you think you can't live without.

Karaoke plus a Pole equals Stagette!!

I had a wild and crazy night yesterday; it was a good friend’s stagette party. And I am so glad that I brought my camera to capture some of the great moments! Hopefully I won’t make too many enemies by posting these. :)

We started the night off with some amazing food, and some even better dancing!!!!

Someone stole my camera and got a shot of me working my magic.I guess its only fair :)

The Dance Crew

As you can clearly see we all got our Sexy Back!

On a side note believe it or not I once did a pole dancing exercise class and it was the most fun I ever had working out. And you do get a workout more than one would think. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Then it was off to sing the night away with karaoke. Don’t worry I did not sing, I'm not that mean of a person. But I was more than happy to take pictures and play with my new flash that my wonderful husband bought for me. (For anyone who wants to know it is a Nikon SB-700)

Singing their hearts out
Besides the Beautiful Bride the most popular “person” at the pub was “Johnny” He was…… well, he was the Bride’s penis.
Johnny

The thing that was crazy to me is that it was the men at the pub who loved “Johnny” the most. They wanted to get their picture taken with him, give him hugs and were willing to sign their name on him. I would have thought that the women would have had the bigger reaction. Well I may not understand it but it was hilarious!!!
Giving Love to Johnny

I’m so excited and happy for my dear friend she is a wonderful person, so full of life and laughter. I wish her and her husband-to-be and the love, joy and magic that comes with sharing your life with someone special.
