Pups-n-Boots

My sweet husband who never goes shopping with me went on a HUGE shopping spree for his winter work clothes. He came back with a coat, pants, socks, thermal layering and boots. These boots are special, they will keep his toes toasty warm all winter long. They are also huge, the perfect size for two little puppies!

Aren't they Cute

Here’s supper, I mean Breakfast, Whatever Just Eat!!!

I feel my cooking skills are passable. I make a few things really well (if I do say so myself) But most meals are okay and all meals and quick and simple.
The other day I was wasting some time on pinterest when I found a wonderfully easy yet creative way to make ham and eggs.
So I thought I would share.

Ingredients:
  • slices of ham
  • eggs
  • grated cheese
  • seasoning
  • and/or anything else you like on your eggs
Directions:
  • Spray muffin tins with Pam.
  •   Line each cup with a slice of deli ham
  • Break an egg gently into each ham cup.
  • Season with salt and pepper...sprinkle with chopped basil and cheese (or chives or your herb of choice).
  • Bake at 350' F for about 15 minutes or so depending on how you like your eggs.
  • Remove from pan and serve immediately and Enjoy!!!

Yum!

Super Easy and yet makes you feel like a mini Martha Stewart. Even Mike commented how the meal was “All Done Up”

Good Bye Summer

The last long weekend of the summer has come and gone, kind sad. Trying to make the most of this last "Hooray for Summer" my daring husband went off and was living his dream attending a motorcycle course both Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile  I was living my dream, I got to sleep in, take the dogs for a super long walk and do absolutely NOTHING! I was in Heaven.

On Monday both Mike and I had the day off, which was just lovely. We decide to take advantage of the beautiful weather and go for a hike. With only a few summer days left I'm very glad that we went out in nature. I so enjoyed the feeling of the sun on my skin and the wind blowing in my hair. (Cheesy, I know but true)

Mike decided that we should go in Kananaskis country to Barrier Lake. A great idea, I feel that Kananaskis is one of Alberta's hidden gems. People often first think of Banff and Jasper as places to visit the mountains but K. country has just as many gorgeous and fabulous views and the best part you don't have to enter the park!

Like always I had a wonderful time with my amazing husband and on this hike he was also my awesome assistant! He carried my camera bag and held my reflector as I took pictures of things he felt were not worth taking pictures of. And the whole time being such a great sport! But that's why I married him because he pretty much is the best thing since sliced bread.

Favorite Shots of the Day

This guy popped out so fast I barely had time to turn the camera on and that is why it is not as sharp as I would like

This is Mike's Favorite picture. He just loves Moss!

Can't you see he is having so much fun! :)
Still working on capturing movement. As you can see not the best shot but I just love Yorkie looks and how the stick is mid-air
She is turning into a really great swimmer!
