Let's Go Back In Time.....

I don't know about you but all I can think about is Christmas. Christmas lights, Christmas decorations, Christmas parties, Christmas Holidays, Christmas Treats, Christmas dinner, Christmas gifts, you name it and I am thinking about it. But for this moment I'm going to push that all of that out of my mind and go to Halloween. Yes, I said it Halloween. So I know I did a short little blog about our costumes (go here to see it) But the real exciting bit that I didn't tell you about was that we made a video!! With a TON of help from our friends over at Greener Gang. It was really a lot of fun to interview everyone and film all the happenings at the party. Speaking of the party, Nathan and Meagan did a Fantastic job. There was game and pumpkin craving and prizes! Everyone seem to be having a great time and it was all due to the effort that they put in.

And to top it all off they were willing to make a video with us. Now I should clarify a little bit. Really Nathan and Mike did most of the work, Mike did a lot of the shooting and Nathan did ALL of the editing. Meanwhile Meagan and I did a lot of looking pretty and gave our 2 cents every once and a while.  And with all that effort put in by all, we have an amazing video!

A BIG Thanks to all those who were willing to be filmed. You are all Super Stars.

Look what my Husband did

Yesterday when I was working hard all day my husband had a lot of fun playing with Yorkie and Beast and our New GoPro Hero2 camera. I love this video but I may be a little biased because I love our dogs and I think everything Mike does is pretty awesome.....well most of the time I think that :)

P.S. You should really go to that GoPro link and check out their little video. It was all shot with only a GoPro, it's pretty amazing. Mike and I just need an airplane and we could make a video just like it :)

How Many More Days Till Christmas!?!?!

There is a over a month till Christmas and I have just put up my first Christmas decorations! I couldn't be more excited. Like most days I was wasting some time on pinterest, and I was inspired! I saw the cutest idea to hang some Christmas ornaments with ribbon in the window. The whole thing only took me about 10 minutes or so,  and it was so easy! The perfect type of craft for me!  Here is how it turned out.

I got the ribbon and ornaments from Costco

How it looks from the outside

How it looks from the inside
All I did was 1. Cut the ribbon different lengths
                      2. Tie the ornaments with a simple knot (I don't know any fancy knots)
                      3. Then with a push pin hung up the ribbon

And Done! And I feel all Martha Stewart like.

Mike thought it looked wonderful and yet in the same breath he said
"You do know its November, right?"

i Heart Faces Challenge

So I thought it would be fun to enter an i heart faces weekly challenge. Why? Well really just for fun and to see if I can get any feed back on my picture from other photographers. This week's contest theme was Black. At first I couldn't think of how to display "Black"so I started looking at some photo's that I took recently  to maybe get some ideas and I came across this one that I took a few weeks ago of my handsome husband. I thought it fit the bill and its one of my favorites of Mike. I think he looks so handsome but then again I always think that.

This photo was entered into the I Heart Faces photo challenge –

My Birthday

On the 21st of October it was my birthday and I had a great day, all thanks to my wonderful husband who spoiled me rotten. This year I didn’t just get one day of birthday fun, I got TWO! Friday night Mike and I had a fantastic evening together. We went out for a delight meal and then we watched a movie which was 100% my choice! This was very exciting for me, you have to realize that normally when Mike and I are going to watch a movie there is an endless back and forth discussion on what movie we should watch or Mike will give me two choices that I can pick from. One time my two choices were Scream 4 or Fast Five. Geez thanks Mike; I was dying to see both. Anyway so the fact that I got to pick with no say from Mike was outstanding! Taking full advantage of my choice I picked Gnomeo and Juliet. The cutest little movie ever, I just loved it. I think what made it even more hilarious was seeing Mike roll his eyes at all the cute little cheesy parts. I loved it!

On Saturday Mike took me to the zoo to test out my birthday present, a new 35mm lens! I had tons of fun taking a million pictures. Patiently Mike sat around and waited as I took way too many pictures of a flower, an animal or anything else take caught my eye.

Afterwards we went out to dinner with the In-Laws; it was my Mother-in-law’s birthday as well. We went to Namskar, a wonderful East Indian place. They have the most delicious butter chicken. I ate way too much; I swear I almost burst a button!

Then to top it all off my fantastic husband took to a play, “To Kill a Mocking Bird” I can’t say enough about the play, the acting was wonderful and I just loved how they interrupted the book and yet stayed really true to the novel. It was the most wonderful two days. I wish everyday could be like that!
