Time Marches On

The quote from Ernest Meyers " Don't just count your years make your years count" is now going to be my life's theme seeming how I have just entered my third decade.

Normally I get pretty excited for my birthday, it is always fun to have a special reason to get together with friends and family.  Mike always does a great job and making my birthday special and  spoiling me rotten.

Yet this year it was a little more difficult to accept that the wheels of time have continued to turn and I now must kiss good bye my glamorous twenty.

I have yet to fully embrace the fact that I now am a thirty year old lady. I spent this weekend doing a lot of emotional eating to suppress all those dark feelings.

Luckily I have the best husband in the world who did a wonderful job of making me feel extra special. He treated me to a lovely meal and then took me out to see Pride and Prejudice the play. Which was amazing, I enjoyed it so much. I just love Jane Austen.

I really did have a terrific day, and now I just need  to follow Mark Twain's advises

"Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
